Shipping Policy

Shipping Methods, Costs, and Delivery Times

  • Carriers and Services: MFI Art uses trusted couriers with experience in handling fragile framed artwork. For high-value items, we use tracked and signed-for services.

  • Shipping Costs: Costs are calculated based on the artwork's size, weight, and destination, and are displayed at checkout. Shipping costs for multiple items purchased together may be combined.

  • Delivery Timeframes:

·       Framed Artworks / Standard Items: 10–15 business days

·       Custom / Original / Large Artworks: May take longer due to custom packaging

·       International: Typically, 15–25 business days, though customs clearance can cause delays

 

Insurance and Liability

  • Insurance: Artworks may be insured for their full value during transit at an additional fee, should the buyer request it.

  • Declared Value: The shipment's value is declared for both insurance and customs purposes. Carrier liability is often limited (e.g., $0.60 per pound) unless a higher value is declared.

  • Limitations of Liability: MFI Art is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, weather, or other factors outside our control.

 

Damage, Loss, and Returns

  • Damaged Items:

    • Buyer must contact MFI Art within 48 hours of delivery

    • Buyer must provide clear photos of the damaged artwork, the packaging, and the inside and outside of the shipping box

    • Once verified, MFI Art will offer a replacement or a refund

  • Lost Shipments: If a carrier confirms a shipment is lost, MFI Art will offer a replacement or a refund for the item and shipping costs.

  • Returns for Change of Mind: MFI Art maintains a "no returns" policy for non-damaged items.

  • Return Shipping: If a return is accepted (e.g., for damage), MFI Art will cover the return shipping costs.

 

International Shipping and Customs

  • Customs and Import Fees: Any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees charged by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

  • Customs Documentation: To prevent delays, MFI Art accurately completes all necessary customs forms, including a commercial invoice with a description, value, and the correct HS (Harmonized System) code.
